About Me

Hi, I'm Tempie, I started writing by mistake, I know that does not make any sense.

Here is my story, I attended college at the ripe old age of thirty-six. Laugh Out Loud (LOL). Who does that? To my amazement and horror, I had writing assignments in every class.

My first writing assignment was horrific, I failed, with a capital F. I was devastated, I did not know what to do. I spoke to the teacher afterwards, I did not understand, I thought it was good. Her response was, “I gave you the failing grade because I knew you could do better.” I began to strive to do my best. She encouraged me to “exhaust the topic.” Throughout Undergrad and Grad School, several of my Professors commented on how well I wrote. I realized I enjoyed writing, who knew, LOL. I stuttered something fierce as a child into adulthood. There were so many things in my heart that needed verbalizing. Writing became a way of expressing my heart and emotions on paper. This blog will be an extension of my thoughts. A “Selah Moment,” just a little something to think about. This blog will include my journey’s, thoughts, and everyday life situations. A lot of my writings will be faith-based. My goal is to encourage you to get out of the boat, we walk by faith, not by sight. I have decided to take advantage of what I thought was a mistake and now I am enjoying the adventure of writing. I hope my stories inspire you to take pen to paper or whatever comes your way.  My Dad used to say, “Nothing beats a failure, but a try.” A huge shoutout to my son, Dominick. He’s always inspired me since he was a little boy. I’ve watched him write his thoughts and goals on snippets of paper and get it done.  He also taught me to lay one brick at a time. (:>) Love ya Dominick
